This Pumpkin Pie Smoothie is a quick and healthy drink that makes a wonderful breakfast or afternoon pick-me-up!
At this time of year, fall produce is at its peak in terms of both flavor and nutritional value. Smoothies are a perfect way to incorporate seasonal fruits and vegetables into your diet and are a light, filling and healthy breakfast. They’re easy and quick to make, and the entire family will love them! This smoothie is the perfect solution.
In addition to being a wonderful breakfast, I love enjoying this in the afternoon, when I’m dealing with the occasional energy slump. The combination of protein and maple really gives me that extra boost to get me through the rest of the day! I hope you’ll enjoy this recipe as much as I do.
Pumpkin Pie Smoothie
- 6 ounces plain yogurt
- 1/3 cup pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling!)
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- Add the yogurt, pumpkin puree, milk, maple syrup, and pumpkin pie spice to a blender.
- Puree until smooth.
- Serve immediately.
