Strawberries and Cream Cocktail Smoothie ~ Savory Simple ~ www.savorysimple.net

Is it a smoothie? A milkshake? A frozen summer cocktail? I like to think of it as a hybrid of all three.

You may have noticed this week that I really love sweetened condensed milk. Just a few days ago I used it in my malted sweetened condensed milk ice cream. I swear I could eat the stuff straight from the can with a spoon. It’s that good. And so is this strawberries and cream cocktail smoothie. Just think- because it has fresh fruit it’s like you’re getting your nutrients while getting a good alcohol buzz at the same time. See? It’s healthy!

I haven’t had peach schnapps for years (there may or may not have been an ugly incident back in high school), but this cocktail smoothie sounds like a great reason to try it again.

Jen, I love this! Unfortunately, I still can’t drink peach schnapps. It’s the one drink I got totally sick on in college and even the smell brings back wretched memories of that night. LOL!!

I have a vivid memory of sitting at the top of the steps leading to the backyard, just outside the kitchen door, with my Basset hound at my side. I was in elementary school. We were sharing a can of sweetened condensed milk.

    Good times.

This smoothie sounds amazing–I’d have to convert the recipe to a full pitcher size since I hate to have partially used ingredients, like the sweetened condensed milk, lying around. But oh, what a great pitcher of smoothie for a mom’s night out/in!

    Thanks, Jen!
